Nutty Coffee Cookies

Ingrédient

  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) brown sugar*
  • 1 egg*, beaten
  • 1/3 cup (80 mL) applesauce
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) Melitta Estate Blend coffee
  • 1/3 cup (80 mL) butter*, softened
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) all-purpose flour*
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) whole-wheat flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp. (7 mL) baking soda*
  • 1 cup (250 mL) Jordan cereal with nuts

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix brown sugar, egg, applesauce and coffee together. Mix in butter. Set aside.
  2. In another bowl, sift together flours, cinnamon and baking soda and mix in cereal. Add liquid mixture gradually, stirring gently. Drop by tablespoonfuls (15 mL / 1 Tbsp.) onto a lightly oiled and floured baking sheet. Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C. Bake about 10 min
