Ingredient
- 1/2 cup Crisco® Butter Shortening
- OR 1/2 stick Crisco® Butter Shortening Sticks
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup Smucker's® Chocolate Sundae Syrups Ice Cream Topping
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup Pillsbury BEST® All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar
Preparation
- COMBINE shortening, sugar, eggs, chocolate syrup, sour cream and vanilla in large bowl. Add flour, chocolate chips, baking powder and salt. Beat at low speed of electric mixer until blended, scraping bowl constantly. Beat at medium speed for 1 minute, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into prepared pan.
- HEAT oven to 350ºF. Coat an 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan with flour no-stick cooking spray. BAKE 40 to 45 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. Sift powdered sugar over cake or frost as desired.
