Ingredients
- 8 Italian sausages to taste
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) extra light olive oil *
- 1 cup (250 mL) zesty Italian dressing *
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) fruity tomato chutney
- 1/2 tsp. (2.5 mL) cayenne pepper
- 3 Tbsp. (45 mL) corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp. (30 mL) chicken broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
preparation
- Prick the sausages, blanch for 5 minutes; cut each sausage into 3 pieces; keep warm.
- Mix all the ingredients for the Italian sauce in a saucepan; bring to a boil; remove from heat; set aside.
- Heat the oil in a skillet; brown the sausages for 10 to 15 minutes turning occasionally; apply sauce on the sausages during cooking; serve.
