Ingredient
- 4 cups of water
- 2 cups of white rice, long grain
- 1 envelope (28 g.) of onion soup
- 1/4 cup of salad oil, Crisco
- 1/3 cup of soy sauce
- 1 can of drained mushrooms (10 oz fl.) (Optional)
Preparation
- Place all ingredients in a 9" x 12" ovenprof baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 ° F, on the bottom rack. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Cook commentary
Always rinse rice to remove the starch; rice will be more flexible, less sticky.
You can freeze the rice and put it in a zip-loc.
Easy to reheat in microwave.
For the pan it is important to have greater surface area for cooking.
When we want vegetable rice, the base is made, you can sauté veggies in the wok and add the desired amount of rice.
