Ingredients
- 1 can (300 mL) Eagle Brand® Regular or Low Fat sweetened condensed milk
- 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) cold water
- 1 pkg (4 serving size /102 g) vanilla instant pudding mix
- 2 cups (500 mL) whipping cream, whipped
- 1 pkg (298 g) frozen pound cake, thawed and cubed
- 4 cups (1 L) fresh strawberries, cleaned, hulled and sliced
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) strawberry jam
- Additional strawberries for garnish
- Toasted slivered almonds
Preparation
- In large mixer bowl, combine sweetened condensed milk and water. Add pudding mix; beat well. Chill until thickened, about 20 minutes. Fold in whipped cream.
- Spoon 2 cups (500 mL) of the pudding mixture into a 4-quart (4 L) round glass serving bowl; top with half of the cake cubes, half the strawberries, half the jam and half the remaining pudding mixture.
- Repeat step 3, ending with pudding mixture. Chill at least 4 hours.
- Garnish with additional strawberries and almonds. Cover leftovers; refrigerate.
