Ingredients

- 1 lb (450 g) beef, cubed
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) butter or vegetable oil
- 1 small red onion, chopped
- Water
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) dehydrated beef broth
- 1/3 cup (80 mL) tomato paste
- 2 tsp (10 mL) dry mustard
- 8-10 mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) dried oregano
- 1 tsp (5 mL) dried parsley
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) plain yogurt
Preparation
- In a large saucepan, cook onion in butter or oil. Brown cubed beef. Cover beef with water. Cook, uncovered, at medium heat, 60 to 90 minutes.
- Stir in all other ingredients, except yogurt. Simmer for about 30 minutes. Stir in yogurt.
- Serve on a bed or rice.
