Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups (300 mL) all purpose flour
- 38 Ritz® Crackers (130 g)*, crushed
- 4 tsp (20 mL) baking powder
- 1 Tbsp (15 mL) sugar
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) each salt & dry mustard
- 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup (250 mL) milk
- Poppy seeds (optional)
Preparation
- In large bowl, combine flour, cracker crumbs, baking powder, sugar, salt & dry mustard; stir in cheese.
- In medium bowl, combine egg & milk; add to cracker mixture. Stir until just combined.
- Spread batter evenly in greased 81/2 x 41/2-inch (1.5 L) loaf pan. Sprinkle poppy seeds over top, if desired. Bake at 350°F (180°C) 40 min or until done. Cool in pan 10 min. remove from pan & cool on wire rack.
