Ingredients
- 700 g of lean ground veal (1 1/2 lb)
- 250 ml of cooked rice (1 cup)
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 ml of salt (1/2 tsp.)
- pepper to taste
Sauce:ingredients
- 1 14 oz can of sliced peaches
- 125 ml of maple syrup (1/2 cup)
- 60 ml of cider vinegar (1/4 cup)
- 60 ml of tomato paste (1/4 cup)
- 2 pinches of savory
Preparation
- Mix in a bowl the minced veal, rice, egg, onion, salt and pepper.
- Form pellets of 2.5 cm (1 inch) in diameter. Brown the meatballs in a nonstick skillet.
- Place the meatballs in a ovenproof dish.
Sauce:Préparation
- Drain peaches and reserve juice or 125 ml (1/2 cup), lie with water or broth.
- In the same skillet, combine all sauce ingredients and bring to boil.
- Pour the sauce over the meatballs and cover. Bake at 180 º C (350 º F) for 20 minutes.
