Ingredients

  • 700 g of lean ground veal (1 1/2 lb)
  • 250 ml of cooked rice (1 cup)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 ml of salt (1/2 tsp.)
  • pepper to taste

Sauce:ingredients

  • 1 14 oz can of sliced ​​peaches
  • 125 ml of maple syrup (1/2 cup)
  • 60 ml of cider vinegar (1/4 cup)
  • 60 ml of tomato paste (1/4 cup)
  • 2 pinches of savory

Preparation

  1. Mix in a bowl the minced veal, rice, egg, onion, salt and pepper.
  2. Form pellets of 2.5 cm (1 inch) in diameter. Brown the meatballs in a nonstick skillet.
  3. Place the meatballs in a ovenproof dish.

Sauce:Préparation

  1. Drain peaches and reserve juice or 125 ml (1/2 cup), lie with water or broth.
  2. In the same skillet, combine all sauce ingredients and bring to boil.
  3. Pour the sauce over the meatballs and cover. Bake at 180 º C (350 º F) for 20 minutes.
