Holiday Dinner Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup water 50 mL
  • 2 eggs 2
  • 3 tbsp butter or margarine, divided 45 mL
  • 3/4 tsp salt 4 mL
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 550 mL
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar 30 mL
  • 1 1/2 tsp FLEISCHMANN'S® Bread Machine Yeast 7 mL

Preparation

  1. Measure ingredients into bread machine pan according to order suggested by manufacturer. Select DOUGH Cycle.
  2. When cycle is complete, remove dough to lightly floured surface. If necessary, knead in enough flour to make dough easy to handle (soft
  3. but not sticky). Shape into rolls.
  4. Place on greased baking sheet/pan. Cover and let rise in warm, draft-free place until almost doubled in size, about 30 minutes. Bake in 375 ˚F (190 ˚C) oven 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes 12 rolls (1-pound recipe).

Cloverleaf Rolls: Divide dough into 4 portions. Divide each portion into 3 equal pieces; then divide each piece into 3. Roll into balls. Place 3 balls in 12 greased muffin cups.
Knots: Divide dough into 4 portions. Divide each portion into 3 equal pieces; roll each into a 9-inch (23 cm) rope. Tie loose knot in centre of each rope.
