CRUST
- 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) all purpose flour
- 1 cup (250 mL) Alpen® Cereal
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) sugar
- 3/4 cup (175 mL) butter, melted
FILLING
- 3 eggs
- 2 1/4 cups (550 mL) packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup (175 mL) butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp (15 mL) vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp (7 mL) vanilla
- 1 cup (250 mL) each raisins and pecan halves
CRUST
- Combine all crust ingredients. Press evenly into lightly greased 13 x 9in(33 x 23 cm) baking pan. Bake at 350°F (180°C)16-20 minutes.
FILLING
- Beat eggs and brown sugar. Beat in butter, vinegar and vanilla. Stir in raisins and pecans.
- Pour over crust and bake 25-30 minutes or until just set. Cool. Cut into squares. Store in refrigerator.
