ingredient
- 1/2 lb (250 g) sausage meat (any type)
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
- 30 small tomatoes, hollowed-out (or large mushrooms)
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp (5 mL) oregano
- 1 tbsp (15 mL) parsley
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) all-purpose flour
- 1 2/3 cup (400 mL) milk
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) Vermouth
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) breadcrumbs
- Salt and pepper
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C). In skillet, sauté sausage meat and onion in butter. Drain and add spices. Stir in flour, milk and Vermouth and season to taste. Cook for 10 minutes, while stirring. Mix in breadcrumbs.
- Stuff hollowed-out tomatoes with mixture and place on cookie sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and serve.
