ingredient
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) softened butter
- 1 cup (250 ml) granulated sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 tsp (10 ml) vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup (150 ml) all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup (150 ml) whole wheat flour
- Pinch of salt
- 2 1/2 cups (625 ml) roasted rice cereal
- 2/3 cup (150 ml) chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) coarsely chopped nuts
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C). In bowl, whip together butter and sugar. Blend in egg and vanilla extract. Mix well. Gradually stir in both flours and salt. Stir in remaining ingredients, stirring gently.
- Drop mixture by spoonfuls onto buttered cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Repeat with remaining dough. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
