Ingredients
- 1 lb (0.5 kg) ground chicken
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) breadcrumbs, dry
- 1 egg(s), beaten
- 1 tsp (5 mL) basil, dried
- 1 tsp (5 mL) oregano, dried
- 1/2 tsp (2.5 mL) salt
- 1/4 tsp (1.25 mL) pepper
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) ketchup
- 2 tsp (10 mL) Worcestershire sauce
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Mix together ground chicken, bread crumbs, egg, herbs, salt and pepper. On a greased baking sheet, shape mixture into a large patty, approximately 6-7 inches (15-17 cm) across and 1 ½ inches (4 cm) thick.
- Combine ketchup and Worcestershire sauce and spread over the patty. Bake for 35 - 45 minutes or until a thermometer inserted into the patty reads 165°F(74°C). Remove from heat and let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes. Cut into 4 wedges and serve with garlic mashed potatoes and salad.
