Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts (or breasts and thighs combined)
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) butter, melted
- 1 Tbsp. (15 mL) paprika
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) onion powder
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) dry mustard
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) dry thyme
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) dry basil
- 1 tsp. (5 mL) dry oregano
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) Cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp. (2 mL) salt
- Sufficient quantity of vegetable oil*
Preparation
- Brush the pieces of chicken with melted butter. Set aside. In a shallow dish, mix the spices and aromatic herbs. Coat the pieces of chicken well with the mixture of spices.
- Before putting the chicken on the grill, sprinkle each piece with a few drops of vegetable oil. Cook 12 to 15 minutes, turning from time to time until chicken is blackened and crusty and the meat loses its pink colour.
