Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 mL) all purpose flour
- 1 cup (250 mL) packed brown sugar
- 1 cup (250 mL) butter, softened
- 1 package (300g) (500 mL) CHIPITS REESE® Peanut Butter Chip
- 3/4 cup (175 mL) corn syrup
- 3 tablespoons (45 mL) butter
- 2 cups (500 mL) mixed nuts
Preparation
- Heat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Combine all-purpose flour, packed brown sugar and 1 cup softened butter, mixing until crumbly. Press firmly into ungreased 13 x 1 x 2- inch baking pan. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown. Cool slightly.
- Combine CHIPITS REESE® Peanut Butter Chips, corn syrup, and 3 tbsp. butter in saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring until smoothly melted. Spread evenly over cooled base.
- Sprinkle 2 cups mixed nuts (or peanuts if desired) on top; press lightly onto topping. Chill until topping is firm, about 1 hour. Cut into squares. Freezing: Excellent
