ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 mL) Hershey CHIPITS Chocolate Mint Chips
  • ½ cup (125 mL) butter (for base)
  • 1 ¼ cups (300 mL) graham wafer crumbs
  • 1 cup (250 mL) flaked coconut
  • ½ cup (125 mL) finely chopped nuts
  • 2 cups (500 mL) icing sugar
  • ¼ cup (50 mL) softened butter (for filling)
  • 3 tbsp. (45 mL) milk
  • 2 tbsp. (30 mL) custard powder
  • 1 tsp. (5 mL) mint extract Green food colour
  • ¾ cup (175 mL) Hershey CHIPITS Chocolate Mint Chips (for glaze)
  • 2 tsp. (10 mL) vegetable oil

Directions

  1. For base, melt 1 cup (250mL) CHIPITS Chocolate Mint Chips with ½ cup butter. Stir in graham wafer crumbs, flaked coconut and nuts.
  2. Press evenly into 9-inch (2.5L) square pan. Chill.
  3. For filling, blend icing sugar, softened butter, milk, custard powder, mint extract and several drops of the food colour. Spread evenly over chilled base.
  4. For glaze, melt ¾ cup (175mL) CHIPITS Chocolate Mint Chips with vegetable oil over hot water. Spread evenly over filling. Chill. Cut into squares.
