Ingredients
- 1 cup (250mL) butter, softened
- 3/4 cup (175mL) packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup (125mL) granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp (5mL) vanilla
- 1 2/3 cups (400mL) all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup (75mL) HERSHEY'S Cocoa
- 1 tsp (5mL) baking soda
- 1/2 tsp (2mL) salt
- 1 package (250g) Chipits® Premium Dark Chocolate Chips
- 1-1/4 cups (300mL) coarsely chopped pecans
Directions
- Cream butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg and vanilla in large bowl on medium speed of electric mixer until light and creamy.
- Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add to creamed mixture, beating on low speed until blended. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
- Drop dough by tablespoonfuls (15 mL) onto greased cookie sheets. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°). Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool for 5 minutes on sheets, then transfer to rack and cool completely. Tips: Use your favourite nut. Walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts all taste great.
