Barbecued Pork Ribs

Ingredients

  • 2 kg (4 lb) pork ribs
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) all-spice
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 410 ml (1? cup) PC Organics ketchup
  • 80 ml (? cup) no name molasses
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) cider vinegar
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) Worcestershire sauce
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) dry mustard
  • 1 ml (¼ tsp) PC spicy sauce (Tabasco-style)

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Rub all-spice over pork ribs and place on a baking sheet. Roast on middle rack of oven for 60 minutes or until meat is tender.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare sauce. Mix together remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan. Simmer for 30 minutes. Brush 2/3 of sauce over pork ribs.
  3. Grill on the barbecue over medium heat for 5 minutes per side or until meat is hot and sauce has caramelized. Brush ribs with remaining sauce while grilling.
  4. To serve, cut meat between ribs and serve with rice.
