Ingredients
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) butter
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) brown sugar
- 4 pears, peeled, cored and cut into quarters
- 10 ml (2 tsp) grated ginger
- 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
- 1 lime or lemon, juice only
- To taste vanilla ice cream
Directions
- In a skillet, melt the butter, add the brown sugar and the pear quarters.
- Stirring gently, add the ginger, vanilla extract and lime or lemon juice. Cook for 4 minutes. Serve hot or cold, with ice cream
