Ingredients
- 4 apples, peeled and cut into chunks
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) butter
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) sugar
- Pinch salt
- 250 ml (1 cup) all-purpose flour
- 5 ml (1 tsp) baking powder
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) butter
- 250 ml (1 cup) oat flakes
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) brown sugar
- 5 ml (1 tsp) ground ginger
Directions
- In a saucepan, melt butter and sugar until caramelized. Add apples and sauté for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and place into 4 ramekins, set aside.
- In a bowl, sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add butter and cut into dry ingredients until a fine crumbly texture is obtained. Add oats, brown sugar and ginger. Mix well.
- Sprinkle mixture evenly over all 4 ramekins. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cook in the oven for 12 minutes
