Pecan Pie (Crisco)

Ingredient

  • 1 Crisco® No Fail Pastry (see Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening package)
  • 1¼ cups pecan halves 300 mL
  • 3 eggs
  • pinch salt pinch
  • 1 cup Crown®/Beehive® corn syrup 250 mL
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted 75 mL

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare pastry as directed on package. Roll out 1 ball of dough and fit into 9" (23 cm) pie plate. Wrap and freeze remaining ball for future use.
  3. Spread pecans over pastry. Combine remaining ingredients in small bowl, mixing to combine thoroughly. Pour over pecans.
  4. Bake on lower rack in preheated oven for 10 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (180°C) and bake 30-35 minutes longer or until just set. Cool completely before slicing.
