Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, cut in narrow strips 455 g
- 1 tbsp CRISCO® Oil 15 mL
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can 10 on condensed cream of mushroom soup 300 g
- 1 can (3 ounces) sliced mushrooms, undrained 85 g
- 2 tbsp ketchup 30 mL
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 10 mL
- Poppy Noodles
- 4 cups hot cooked noodles 1 L
- 1 tbsp butter 15 mL
- 1 tsp poppy seed 5 mL
Preparation
- In skillet, BROWN meat strips in hot CRISCO® Oil. Add onion and garlic; cook until onion is crisp-tender.
- COMBINE soup, sour cream, mushrooms, ketchup, and Worcestershire; pour over meat.
- COOK and stir over low heat until hot. KEEP WARM over hot water.
- FOR POPPY NOODLES, toss 4 cups hot cooked noodles with 1 tablespoon butter and 1 teaspoon poppy seed.
- SERVE meat mixture over poppy noodles on platter
