Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) Hoisin sauce
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) orange juice
- 1/4 (50 mL) cup chili sauce
- 1 Tbsp (15 mL) Tabasco sauce
- 1 Tbsp (15 mL) soy sauce
- 2 tsp (10 mL) grated fresh ginger
- 1 tsp (5 mL) grated orange rind
- 1 tsp (5 mL) sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 lbs (1.4 kg) chicken wings*
Preparation
- Mix all the ingredients except the chicken in a large re-sealable plastic bag. Add wings; close bag and turn so marinade coats all the chicken. Refrigerate for 2 hours or overnight.
- Remove wings from marinade; pour marinade into a saucepan. Boil marinade for 5 minutes and set aside to use during grilling. If desired, precook the wings in the microwave. Preheat the barbecue on medium high heat.
- Put the wings on the grill; close the lid, and cook for 20 to 30 minutes or until the skin is crisp and the wings are cooked through. Baste regularly with the boiled marinade.
