Ingredients
- 500 ml of orchard fruits (apples, pears, peaches, prunes), peeled (2 cups)
- 15 ml of all purpose flour (1 tablespoon)
- 2 ml of ground cinnamon (1/2 teaspoon)
- 1 ml of nutmeg (1/4 teaspoon)
- 125 ml of maple syrup (1/2 cup)
Crust
- 190 ml of all purpose flour (2/3 cup)
- 190 ml of oat flakes (oatmeal) (2/3 cup)
- 1 ml of nutmeg (1/4 teaspoon)
- 125 ml of unsalted butter at room temperature (1/2 cup)
Method
- Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). In a buttered oven tray, mix all the fruits, the flour and the spices. Pour the syrup over the fruit. Set aside for later.
Crust
- Mix the flour, the oat flakes, the maple sugar and the spices in a bowl. Incorporate the butter. Pour the oat mixture over the fruit and press down with the back of a spoon to flatten the preparation
- Cook in the center of oven for 40 to 50 minutes. Serve with ice cream. * One can also prepare individual portions.
