Garlic & Herb Meat Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (500 g) each extra lean ground beef & ground turkey
  • 2 cups (500 mL) soft bread crumbs
  • 1 cup (250 mL) coarsely-grated carrot
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) chopped green pepper
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) minced parsley
  • 1/3 cup (75 mL) milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL)Mrs. Dash® Garlic & Herb No Salt Added Seasoning **
  • 2 Tbsp (30 mL) grainy mustard
  • Saran Wrap* Brand Plastic Film

Preparation

  1. In large bowl, combine beef, turkey, bread crumbs, carrot, green pepper, parsley, milk eggs, garlic & herb seasoning, and mustard; mix well.
  2. Pack firmLy into 9 x 5 inch (2 L) microwavable loaf pan. Cover with Saran Wrap; turn back one corner to vent excess steam. Microwave at HIGH (100%) 10 min., rotating dish 3 times. Uncover and drain off liquid.
  3. Re-cover with vented Saran Wrap and microwave on MEDIUM (50%) 15 to 20 min. or until cooked through, rotating dish 3 times. Drain off liquid. Let stand 10 min before slicing.
