Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground beef 1 kg
- 1 cup chopped onion 250 mL
- 1 can (28 oz/796 mL) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (19 oz/540 mL) kidney beans, undrained
- 1/4 cup FRANK'S® REDHOT® Original Cayenne Pepper Sauce 50 mL
- 2 pkgs (each about: 1 1/4 oz/35 g) chili seasoning mix
Preparation
- Brown ground beef in large non-stick saucepan or Dutch oven. Add onion; cook 3 minutes, or until onion is soft. Drain.
- Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil, stirring often. Reduce heat; simmer, partially covered, 15 minutes, until flavours are blended, stirring often.
Cook commentary
Makes 8 servings.
Chili is a good winter warm-up dish. Serve topped with shredded cheese and tortilla chips if desired.
